We Built This Because We Needed It Too
We're Kevin and Suzie. We're not spa therapists. We're not wellness influencers. We're two people who understand what it's like when your body won't stop aching and your mind won't stop racing, and we built Shropshire Floats to do something about it.
The Backstory (The Real One)
Between the two of us, we've dealt with chronic pain, burnout, anxiety, and the kind of physical exhaustion that no amount of sleep seemed to touch. We tried physio, massage, meditation apps, medication. Some of it helped. None of it fixed the root issue: our nervous systems were stuck in overdrive, and our bodies were paying the price.
Then we discovered floatation therapy.
Not at a luxury spa. Not on a wellness retreat. Just a simple float tank session that, for the first time in years, made us feel like we'd actually rested. Like our bodies had been given permission to let go.
We wanted other people to have access to that feeling. Not as an indulgence, but as a tool. Something real, therapeutic, and available without needing to book a weekend away.
So we built Shropshire Floats.

We come from backgrounds in hospitality and mental health. That means we know how to make people feel comfortable, and we know how to recognize when someone's struggling. Even if they don't say it out loud.
We're not here to upsell you on memberships you don't need or therapies that won't help. We're here to listen, explain your options, and help you find your way to wellness.
Accessibility Isn't an Afterthought
Shropshire Floats is the first float centre in the UK to install a ceiling hoist system. Why? Because people with limited mobility, chronic pain, or physical disabilities deserve access to the therapeutic benefits of floatation just as much as anyone else.

Meet Kevin & Suzie
Kevin
Kevin handles most of the day-to-day operations, from welcoming first-timers to maintaining the equipment to explaining how HBOT works without sounding like a medical textbook. He's the one who'll walk you through your first float, answer your questions about pressure settings, and make sure you know exactly what to expect before your session starts.
Background: Hospitality, customer care, and an obsessive attention to detail (which is exactly what you want in someone managing water filtration systems).
Suzie
Suzie brings the mental health and wellness expertise. She's the reason the space feels calm without feeling clinical, and she's often the first person to notice when someone needs a bit more support or reassurance.
Background: Mental health support, trauma-informed care, and a deep understanding of what it's like to live in a body that's not always 100%.
Together, we've built something we're genuinely proud of.
